Setting off through the sandy deserts of Jordan; the mysteriously sand-etched monuments at Petra, biblical sites,
baren dunes and starry night skies at Wadi Rum all bring me a step closer to understanding just what it was about this landscape that fascinated the man who became known as Lawrence of Arabia.

GreenProphet.com – “Petrified Bike” Metaphor for a Shrinking Dead Sea?
by admin on Jan.02, 2010, under Uncategorized
It’s pretty shocking when you are out there to see for yourself how this world’s natural wonder is shrinking year by
year. It makes you want to scream. Here are some pictures from my visit to the Dead Sea about 6 weeks ago. From the Dead Sea Spa we took a few minutes bus ride to the Dead Sea edge. The spa, about half a kilometre away used to be on the Dead Sea’s shore. The spa didn’t move, so what does that say?

CurrentMom.com – A Working Mom’s Travel Blessing
by admin on Dec.26, 2009, under Uncategorized

dances as we are herded into a smorgasbord of delights – meat, rice, potatoes, hummus, bread, salads of every color and texture, and of course, beautiful-looking but straw-tasting desserts.

CNN.com – Turning Dead Sea mud into money
by admin on Dec.12, 2009, under Uncategorized
The afternoon sun beats down on the rocky hills and quicksand pits that surround the still, gray-blue body of water,

There isn’t much action outside the water either, except for a few emaciated camels trudging along the side of the road.
